Sr Engineer, Electronics(Amplifer&Mixer)

Essential Responsibilities:

  • PCB layout design for digital, analog, switch-mode power supply, and mixed signal circuits.
  • Plan, define, and execute projects with a minimum of supervision.
  • Work closely with electrical and mechanical design engineers to optimize circuit performance, reduce audible noise and crosstalk, and limit electromagnetic radiation and susceptibility.
  • Work with global teams to improve techniques, manage parts libraries, and share knowledge.
  • Study new and state-of-the-art technology to continuously improve skills and share knowledge.
  • Establish PCB design guidelines for high-speed, high-power and high-density designs.
  • Work with NPI and Manufacturing to implement best-practices design for manufacturing (DFM).
  • Participate in design reviews.
  • Lower costs by reducing parts counts, minimizing parts variation, reusing existing designs, and DFM.
  • Create footprints for new components.
  • Interact daily with other project team members.
  • Products include professional Class-D amplifiers, switch mode power-supplies, DSP-based signal processors.
  •  

Required Skills:

  • 2 layers through 8+ layers PCB design
  • Understanding of low-noise PCB design and signal integrity practices
  • High-speed memory interface design, including memory, DSP, and microprocessor
  • Ability to troubleshoot circuit problems and recommend solutions
  • Mentor Graphics programs: Expedition, PADS design experience
  • Electro-mechanical packaging experience
  • Analog / Digital schematic analysis and PCB layout
  • Manufacturing PCB test and DFM experience
  • PCB panel form design and cost estimation
  • PCB specification definition
  • Writing technical report in English
  • BSEE, MSEE or additional training is a plus.
  • 5+ years PCB layout design experience
