Position Summary: Briefly describe the primary purpose and function of this position.

Responsible for HALOsonic (Engine Order Cancellation, internal Sound Synthesis, Road noise cancellation and other noise/vibration/harshness) tuning including requirements analysis, customer requirement, and interface between internal and external in other countries.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Please indicate the number of direct reports and/or number of indirect reports.

  1. Participate HALOsonic tuning and integration with Global Development team

 

  1. Tune existing GTT (Global Tuning Tool) for HALOsonic tuning and support trouble shooting.

 

  1. Understand customer and internal requirements and specifications for All HALOsonic project.

 

  1. Provides elevated support for HALOsonic Teams  and DSP engineering team in USA, China and etc. by providing suggestions, simpler interpretations or recommendations regarding engineering matters for faster responses

 

  1. Communicate with peers inside the Harman group to coordinate HALOsonic tuning and DSP software development. This includes travelling abroad for workshops and coordination meetings.

 

  1. Write and share technical requirement specification for customer and internal engineering team

 

  1. Work closely with customer and provide technical support

 

 

Basic Qualifications: List the minimum and desired education (including degrees, licenses, certification or registrations) and experience needed to perform the key responsibilities of the position.

  • BSCS, BSEE or equivalent minimum requirement.  Advanced engineering degree desired.
  • Must have 3+ years experience in NVH (Noise/Vibration/Hashness)
  • Sound tuning or software development in automotive is a plus.
  • Must have excellent communication skill in English (written and verbal)
  • Audio System(Speaker, Power AMP or Head Unit) industry background preferred
  • Hands-on DSP experience required. ADI SHARC or Griffin DSP is a plus.
  • Automotive CAN experience preferred.
  • Automotive experience, Hyundai and Kia experience preferred
  • HW development and/or troubleshooting experience preferred
  • Test Engineering experience preferred
  • Automotive industry or other QS9000 compliant work experience preferred.

 

Working Knowledge:

Car NVH experience desired; Microcontroller experience desired; Real-time OS experience required. I2C, RS232, other serial interface experience desired; Experience developing and debugging software in a real-time, embedded, multi-processor, multi-interface environment desired.
