Position Summary:

The Strategic Distribution role provides joint strategic planning, continuous business alignment and the connection of key business stakeholders across Harman Professional Division’s top tier business partners for mutual business success. The program operates as a high level, strategic business overlay to the existing Harman channel sales fulfilment and service teams and is designed to provide the C suite and Executives, within our biggest partnerships, value to their businesses via a capable B2B business Harman Professional resource.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build direct B2B relationships with the C suite and Executive key stakeholders within the Distributor’s business that you are assigned to. Build trust, empathy and rapport with these stakeholders to underpin mutually beneficial business outcomes.

 

  • Develop a complete and thorough understanding of the partner’s operating model and strategic business plan and ensure our approached to this account complements the requirement.
  • Meet and exceed all revenue and CM goals
  • Remove obstacles and barriers that negatively impact the flow of business and create new opportunities for Harman at the C Suite level  – Ensure Harman is easier to do business with than our competitors.
  • Communicate and assist in developing effective Partner incentive Programs to meet mutual beneficial business outcomes
  • Work closely, and communicate effectively, with the existing Harman channel team to provide strategic direction and information pertaining to the effective management of the key account
  • Take Partner program analytics and conduct Quarterly Reviews based on that data, with the executive teams within the partnership
  • Work with the Harman Customer Solutions Unit teams to communicate Product roadmap and solutions to the relevant, key Executive stakeholders within the organization.
  • Create effective national Training Plans that are aligned to the Key Account business plans and ensure they are executed by Regional Teams
  • Coordinate Marketing and Teaming events working alongside the channel and US Marketing teams as it is required

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Business Degree, Eng Degree – MBA preferred.
  • 5+ Years of Account Management Sales Experience
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the ProAV/IT/UC Industries:
    • Understands the challenges faced by our business partners in their market today
    • Understand current industry trends across a wide range of vertical markets and be able to effectively communicate this detail to the account
  • Possess high level business acumen and be comfortable communicating to C suite level the relevant financials to effectively drive the national account
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to effectively connect with a broad range of Executive level stakeholders at a strategic, day-to-day business and an industry / technical level.
  • Understand the intricacies of managing a large partner account that is part of a larger channel organization from within a matrixed organization like Harman. This includes direct accounts and accounts that fulfil via distribution

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics CRM

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 50%
  • Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA, Richardson, TX or remote location.
