Business Development Manager Houses of Worship

This senior level individual will be the evangelist responsible for selling HARMAN product solutions to targeted House of Worship customers. The primary mission is to drive demand for the HARMAN solution set by establishing, building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in this market to meet/exceed revenue targets.


Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for driving revenue and building relationships with new & existing customers targeted at House of Worship end user accounts.
  • Make warm and cold calls to prospective customers to promote business
  • Visit potential customers, make presentations, identify key decisions makers
  • Plan business growth, identify opportunities & pursue them to successful closure
  • Effectively sell to all levels of management in these accounts
  • Understand the dimensions of the customer’s environment.
  • Always have the client’s best interests in mind and bring a commitment to understanding and driving the success of their clients’ key initiatives, organization, company and history
  • Accurately forecast revenue from new and existing accounts



  • Bachelor’s Degree a plus
  • 6+ years experience in a senior level sales position targeting House of Worship accounts
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals/objectives
  • Broad overall knowledge of technology is required
  • Ability to book frequent meetings with senior level executives
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect and present to customers, and consistently close large deals
  • Ability to understand business requirements and effectively present/articulate HARMAN audio technology, lighting solutions and advanced video and control solutions.
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, information technologies procurement needs, and facilities management within this market
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to speed and learn appropriate technologies as well as business acumen associated to segment
  • Ability to interface with technical teams and internal departments to ensure customer success.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior follow-up skills


Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 50% of the time
