Job Responsibilities:

  The candidate would have a desire for hands-on work, creative thinking and experimental methods to assist in the assessment of new, innovative and useful components of future-looking professional music electronics.  The student would be expected to work with Harman engineers to create detailed plans to enable the research of design tradeoffs of prospective alternatives for circuits, mechanisms, algorithms or processes.  The candidate would also be expected to perform routine functions associated with the normal development process such as component engineering, document control tasks and circuit test and rework.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree program of Electrical Engineering in Sophomore year or later, or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
  • Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in engineering
  • Previous entry-level work experience strongly preferred
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Must provide work availability from May 210, 2019 – August 19, 2019, and be able to work 40 hours per week
  • Strongly prefer candidates who live within a commutable distance
  • Must provide own housing and transportation to/from work
  • Must provide proper work authorization

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Able to work at the Richardson, TX office.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation, drug screen, and DMV background check.
  • Familiarity with C++
  • Analog Circuit Design
  • Logic Design

  • Transmission Line Theory.
  • Control Systems
