Position Summary:

Coordinate and manage Supplier Quality support of NA programs by providing key deliverables, establishing close working relationships and interfacing with Program Management and other functional groups.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring and meeting program specific timelines and schedules.
  • Program specific tracking and reporting existing quality processes for preventive supplier quality assurance activities.
    • Definition and realization of program specific key component s and risk analysis
    • Supplier APQP status
    • Supplier PPAP status
    • Supplier Safe Launch Plan status
  • Program specific monitoring of time schedules
  • Interface with Program Management, Engineering, Preventive Quality, and Customer for supplier specific quality issues.
  • Participation in Design-Reviews
  • Program specific handling / coordination of supplier caused quality problems in product launch phase
  • Development of processes, reports and operation figures for the SQE department
  • Process monitoring with respect to supplier quality
  • Interface with other departments (i.e. engineering, procurement)

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree required
  • Knowledge of the principles and procedures related to, Supplier Quality, Program Management, problem solving methodology (8D), automotive production part approval process (PPAP), auditing to IATF 16949 requirements, and quality operating systems.
  • At least 3 years experience in quality, manufacturing, and /or automotive industry
  • Knowledge of Quality and Environmental Management Standards, e.g. IATF 16949, VDA, ISO 14001.
  • Strong background creating and maintaining spreadsheets, databases, other data management tools
  • Exposure to automotive acoustic and infotainment products
  • Solid background in process control with knowledge of APQP, PPAP, SPC, control plans, FMEA and GR&R studies
  • Knowledge of statistical methods, problem solving methodologies, PPAP, FMEA, measurement system assessment (MSA), APQP and automotive quality management systems.
  • Tracking of data and information in computer databases or spreadsheets. Communicating and presenting data to stakeholders to drive for resolution of issue.
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Team oriented and self-driven

  • Experience in program management terminology, maturity gates, schedules and time lines, etc.
