Position Summary: Build automation expert on continuous integration and code analysis or review systems.

The build automation expert implements and customizes continuous integration platforms which are required by the build automation tools for a fully outomated software build and release cycle. He/she is experienced with setup and configuration of the backend systems and services which are required. Also how to interface these services with dashboards, monitoring or reporting tools.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Administrate, configure, implement or maintain
    • continuous integration platforms (Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins / Hudson)
    • build automation tools (ant, make, gclient, maven, ivy, gradle)
    • code review systems (Atlassian Crucible)
    • static + dynamic analysis systems (Grammatech Codesonar, Gimpel Lint)
    • opens source code analysis system (Blackduck Hub)
  • Coordinate procedural steps with respective software integration teams and align with version control and output delivery team
  • Develop and apply automated procedures for all kind of repeating activities / processes
  • Document system architecture of solutions or complete application landscapes
  • Document and follow up configuration changes with associated test cases and perform or accompany functional validation
  • Work with business stakeholders, other system administrators or 3rd-party vendors to implement and test system changes or apply corrections, fixes, patches, etc.
  • Assist business units with maintenance, modification and troubleshooting of access control rules, user groups and roles
  • Troubleshoot functional issues of all kind inside the tool landscape as well as the infrastructure around
  • Proactively monitor the system behavior to ensure availability for the user community
  • Contribution to training material, configuration and process documentations and organization of training courses
  • Work to ensure high resilience and performance tuning
  • Suggest, validate and perform improvements and apply these while rollouts or upgrades
  • Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications.
  • Work as part of a global project team to coordinate development and determine project scope and limitations.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Master Degree or equivalent in Computers, Information Technology, or related field
  • Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle, Build Automation, Code Quality Analysis and Reporting
  • More than 2 years knowledge and practical experience working on Linux OS (preferably RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu)
  • More than 2 years knowledge and practical experience using a script language (for example  Bash, Perl, Python, PHP, …)
  • More than 2 years knowledge and practical experience creating and maintaining build automation and dependency management (for example ant, make, gclient, maven, gradle, …)
  • More than 1 year knowledge and practical experience setting up web-based application environments (for example J2EE, LAMP)
  • More than 1 year knowledge and practical experience working with relational databases (for example Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, )
  • More than 2 years knowledge and practical experiences in system administration + setup + customization of continuous integration platforms (for example Atlassian Bamboo, Jenkins, Hudson)
  • More than 2 years knowledge and practical experiences in system administration + setup + customization of source code analysis and reporting tools (for example Grammatech Codesonar, Blackduck Hub, …)
  • More than 5 year practiced English language skills oral and written
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and design papers
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and manage multiple projects.
  • A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholder interests, simultaneously managing conflicting priorities and business interests.
  • Excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills with excellent conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated experience managing customer-facing, strategic projects as well as application development projects.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
  • Willingness to work in an office in Queretaro, Mexico
