Position Summary: APQP in the quality organization, responsible for the overall quality;
ensuring adherence to Harman Business Management System (BMS), complying with our
Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) processes. With a strong drive for First-Time Quality,
candidate will have responsibilities for oversight and instilling best practices in program
execution for Software, and Process Compliance to ensure the utmost quality program results,
continually reducing cost of poor quality, while maintaining 100% customer satisfaction. The
position also requires experience in conducting code reviews, analyzing code analysis tool
results, confirming unit testing thoroughness, understanding embedded systems to ensure
accurate integration and interface testing techniques.

Job Responsibilities:
· Define and execute the Quality plan in accordance with organizational BMS and ASPICE
standards for large programs.
· Provide quality review of all artifacts required at each phase of the project.
· Plan and schedule cross functional activities worldwide in different regions such as
maturity level reviews, preparation for customer audits etc.
· Manage, execute and track quality activities in projects to achieve targets for time, cost
and quality; in case of deviations drive escalations at different levels internal and
external and track to closure.
· Track and understand key metrics, such as ticket burndown, ticket aging, requirements
traceability, etc., and report program health status regularly to different internal and
external management levels.
· Provide support to engineering groups in the setting up quality tools, metrics, processes
and documents and define mechanisms to track and improve the same
· Coordinate quality impacting decisions and / or escalations on program side between all
· Drive the organization at Harman and customer, together with the quality counterpart
at customer, to achieve high quality software during development up to serial phase.
· Coordinate and assure Harman quality requirements to customer.
· Conduct scheduled reviews with the appropriate process owners.
· Implement quality gates for any/all deliverables that go to customer
· Review all appropriate documentations, processes & results applicable, related to
projects and if needed organize audits to get a visibility about the status.
· Ensure that Harman PLM processes lessons learned and best practices are understood
and effective in practice.
· Maintain and understand all internal and external requirements.
· Address audit findings and assure proper action plans.
· Set up, track and analyze metrics to come up with action items to fix gaps
· Collaboration with other regional quality teams and global teams to ensure process
adherence across organization
· Contribute towards organizational process definition/updates and improvements.


Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelors or Master degree Degree in Engineering related field.
· 5-7+ years of experience in Automotive Quality, along with development & testing is
added advantage
· Thorough understanding of Software development lifecycle and methodologies
· Thorough knowledge of management systems, at least one of CMMi or Automotive
SPICE. Other standards such as ISO/IATF16949 are desirable
· Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
· Strong negotiation skills
Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:
· Drive for Results, Team Player, Change Orientation, Customer Focus, Self Awareness
· Seasoned professional in previous roles as a Developer or Tester.
· Working knowledge of embedded systems in automotive industry.
· Development Experience in C++, JAVA
· Expert in Code Reviews and Unit Testing

· Willingness to work in an office in Pune, India
· Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
