Job Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate equipment to assemble, inspect, and rework prototype and service electronic products within the Farmington Hills Pilot Factory: 
  • Setup and monitor solder paste screen printer
  • Setup, load and replenish machine feeders for surface mount equipment
  • Interpret X-ray PCBA inspection machine data
  • Visually inspect PCBA’s for part population, solder joints, part polarity and other defects
  • Repair solder joints to IPC 610 standard
  • Rework PCBA’s by adding, deleting or changing parts
  • Setup and operate radial insertion machine
  • Setup and operate wave soldering  and Select soldering machines
  • Setup and operate conformal coat/hot melt machine
  • Operate router to remove PCBA from panel
  • Assemble PCBA’s into radios or amplifiers
  • Repair or rework PCBA’s by soldering
  • Provide support to Material Control Technician in picking and returning parts
  • Count parts during annual inventory
  • Operate software flashing equipment

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Personal Computers, Microsoft Outlook/Word/Excel
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years work experience in an electronics manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Electronics or related field
  • Certified or can demonstrate competency in IPC610 soldering standard
  • Experience operating SMT placement machines
  • Ability to work first or second shift as business needs fluctuate

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in a pilot factory in Novi, Michigan
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen
