Supervisory Responsibilities:  Team manager ~ 8 direct reports

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the active management of our portfolio of software development, customer demonstration projects, and series production tuning of HALOsonic technologies.
  • Lead and develop the project management skills of the PM and coordinator that report to this position.
  • Serve as the administrator for the other team members urganized under this position (development plans, performance reviews)
  • Serve as Scrum master for assigned Agile projects
  • You will be responsible for integrating proof of concept cars for Halosonic product lines.  Responsibilities also include creation and maintenance of project schedules, working with pre-development teams to acquire the right products for each project and managing the day to day execution of internal fabrication\system engineers. 
  • Active customer alignment with respect to schedules, deliveries and technical contents
  • Participation and support during the budget planning of programs and compilation of development requests
  • You will also cultivate relationships with external engineering partners to deliver technology components that are outside of Harman’s core capabilities, create and manage SOW and related business agreements. 
  • Other responsibilities include providing regular project status reports, representing Systems engineering in business strategy and planning activities, building technical collateral such as design guides, product integration procedures.

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical engineering or equivalent.
  • Knowledge of speaker and  amplifier technology as well as acoustic systems
  • Fundamental knowledge of active noise management technologies is highly desireable
  • Experience with Digital Signal processing algorithms and audio technology is preferred
  • Minimum 5 years experience in project or line management leading automotive electronics system projects and/or engineering teams.
  • Proven history of achieving on time product delivery.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a globally distributed environment, occasional international travel is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills – able to influence both technical and sales based audiences.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 15-20% of the time
  • Willingness to work in an office in Novi, MI
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
