Position Summary:

The Manager, Talent Management North America incumbent will act as a strategic partner for strengthening the talent and leadership pipeline through talent identification, development, and succession planning within the Connected Car North America organization.  This role will oversee the CC North American people cycle activities and will manage, roll-out and monitor the execution of several talent development programs to create a high performance work culture.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement talent development programs, development centers and trainings aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Facilitation of trainings, workshops and moderations with regards to Talent Management topics especially HARMAN people cycle processes.
  • Coordination of Talent Management projects.
  • Oversee and provide leadership on development programs and support of global HARMAN-wide programs.
  • Drive HARMAN people cycle processes for Connected Car North America including Target Setting, Performance Management and Succession Planning.
  • Build a mentoring program and support organizational and individual development actions (360° feedback, personality or team evaluation tools etc.)

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or other HR related disciplines.
  • At least 8 years of relevant HR experience (with a minimum of 3 years in Talent Management), HRD Consulting, People and/or Organizational Development experience in a global matrixed company preferably within engineering, tier 1 automotive or technology.
  • Passion to work with people and drive Talent Management projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, take initiative and perform effectively in a fast-paced global matrixed environment.
  • Proven track record in designing and executing talent development programs.
  • Must have positive and professional verbal and written communication skills, strong presentation skills and maintain excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Intercultural awareness and ability to work with all levels of a global matrixed team and organization.
  • Capable of handling multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion.
  • Working knowledge and experience with MS Office, SuccessFactors and experience preparing executive PowerPoint presentations.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree.
  • Certifications for 360° feedback, team or personality tools.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Novi, MI.
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test.
