Position Summary:.

CBU Controller, Americas Car Audio position is responsible for being the expert on all commercial items for his/her customer business unit. The position is responsible for the development, tracking, and improvement of program business cases. The position reports to the Team Lead CBU Controlling, Americas Car Audio SBU and requires close cooperation with CBU management.  This also includes a close and active collaboration with other teams in the global organization like e.g. Sales, Engineering, Procurement, Quality, Treasury, Tax as well as the Functional Controlling departments and Finance.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position does not have any direct reports.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead in-depth business and financial analysis supporting key commercial terms with the customer
  • Lead development of business cases for all RFI/RFQ, guiding and incorporating inputs from manufacturing, operations, engineering, procurement and product delivery
  • Ensure financial commitments including engineering budgets, sales forecasts, variable cost targets, CAPEX, and working capital are achieved
  • Coordinate all sales planning processes: rolling forecast, budget/5-year sales planning, actual to forecast/budget variance tracking & analysis
  • Establish and execute regular monthly financial reporting on program status, sales, and profitability
  • Program reporting and ad-hoc financial analysis to CBU leader and executive management
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of quotations, including Customer Change Requests
  • Manage engineering change notices, including impact on piece price, tooling, NRE, and obsolescence
  • In cooperation with Shared Services, monitor and take actions to collect payment of aged accounts receivable

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Four year college degree in Business or Finance; a Technical education, such as, Engineering or Program Management, will also be considered
  • Advanced degree such as an MBA or professional accreditation (CPA, CMA) is preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience related to financial management or project management in a manufacturing environment in preferred
  • Automotive experience is preferred
  • Leadership skills, also concerning cross-functional teams
  • Excellent analytical abilities
  • Result-oriented way of working
  • Communicative competence
  • Flexibility and ability to work under pressure

  • Willingness to travel (10%).
