Position Summary:

This position is within HARMAN’s Lifestyle Division. This Sr. Financial Analyst will have responsibility for all accounting and financial analysis for inventory, warehousing, and the Harman Flagship Store in New York City.  Moreover as part of this team it is expected, as opportunities arise, to support it’s colleagues in areas such as inventory obsolescence, product line profitability analysis, sales projections and cash flow projections.


Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will have no supervisory responsibility.


Job Responsibilities:

  • GL to subledger monthly reconciliations
  • 3PL expense budgeting and forecasting
  • Fixed Overhead capitalization Lightspeed to SAP reconciliation and correct any variants
  • Ad-hoc P&L reporting and any other required reporting
  • Inventory reconciliation between Lightspeed and SAP
  • Manage process to write off and track inventory shrinkage
  • Ensure SOX compliance as identified by Internal Audit/external vendor in compliance with SOX narratives
  • Month-end close reporting and reconciliation
  • Sales and margin analysis by category
  • Creation and maintenance of direct spend category allocation process
  • Category P&L forecasting (monthly, quarterly, annually and mid-term planning, as required)
  • Creation of actual P&L results by category and input into BPC monthly
  • Variance analysis of actual vs. Plan & Forecast
  • Ad-hoc analysis


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Finance
  • At least 5 years of experience
  • Strong analytical, written, verbal and organizational skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • SAP experience required

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA.
