Position Summary:

HARMAN Lifestyle Division’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices.  As a member of our team, your primary role will be to help in research and development related to loudspeakers, headphones and immersive audio using our world-class measurement facilities.

 

Eligibility Requirements:

Under the supervision of engineering staff, the intern will:

•   Assist in designing and tuning consumer audio systems such as headphones.

•   Investigate new audio related technologies and best practices.

•   Create novel solutions to issues in acoustic systems for consumer products.

•     Assist in developing and documenting worldwide acoustic systems tools and best practices

 

Qualifications:

•   Student seeking undergraduate or graduate degree in Engineering

•   Coursework in DSP, acoustics, electrical engineering, and/or computer science

•   Experienced with Matlab, computer programming, and Microsoft Office

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • No travel required
  • Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
  • Willingness for overtime and weekend work, as needed
  • Target workload 25 hours/week.  Working schedule is flexible.
