Position Summary:

Be a part of Harman International a Samsung Company. Be a part of a dynamic Ecommerce team that runs the online business on JBL.com, HarmanKardon.com, AKG.com, InfinitySpeakers.com and Harmanaudio.com along with other marketplaces. This role will own the customer experience from the moment the customer lands on Harman owned websites and 3P marketplace all the way through conversion as well as post-purchase experience. Be a subject-matter expert on the functionality and tooling necessary to create, manage and optimize the site. Maintain pulse on industry trends and best practices, technologies, competitive landscape, etc. and apply those findings.

Job Responsibilities:

This position is responsibe for supporting the team in ensuring that business is flowing smoothly and assisting the team in sharing the follow up & execution workload and getting things done on time.

  • Own development of site merchandising strategies and day-to-day execution & management of Harman lifestyle websites and marketplaces based on data-driven analysis, with great attention to detail.
  • Work closely with the Ecommerce Manager to develop and execute key merchandising initiatives, strategies, and business priorities.
  • Identify and execute optimization efforts to improve overall site experience, including:
    • Personalized customer journeys
    • Site accuracy and consistency
    • A/B testing
    • Sorting
    • Navigation
    • Product assortment
    • Content strategies
    • Special/Seasonal landing pages
    • Search queries
    • Linking strategies
    • Up-sell/Cross-sell opportunities
    • SEO
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) that will help drive traffic, conversion, and demand.
  • Manage, maintain, and monitor product pricing to ensure accuracy, and maintain inventory for availability.
  • Collaborate with global content team to ensure accurate and timely new and refurb product launches, while taking ownership of the process by paying attention to detailed QA’ing.
  • Collaborate with regional and global marketing teams to support promotional activity execution and create a seamless customer experience, such as:
    • National promos and deals
    • Key seasonal events
    • Branding campaigns
    • Coupon execution
    • Creative asset uploads
    • Site copy
  • Manage and streamline the online merchandising calendar with great attention to detail to ensure the site is accurately and appropriately representing Harman’s product line and marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with Ecommerce Operations Lead to identify and maintain the following:
    • In-stock availability of products and replenishment
    • Inventory movements
    • Process optimization, automation and documentation.
    • Logging/scoping out JIRA tickets
  • Partner with customer service team to improve customer site experience in relation:
    • General support (e.g. product registration, warranty)
    • Site policies (e.g. return policies)
    • Knowledge base
    • Post-purchase experience
  • Partner with Ecommerce Marketplace Sr. Specialist to ensure marketplace product count and content is at par with branded websites.
  • Proactively escalating/fixing any issues affecting sites with a sense of urgency.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree in Marketing, Business or related field is required
  • Minimum 5 years experience
  • Knowledge of using MS Excel, PowerPoint and Photoshop
  • Understanding of online merchandising & marketing mechanisms
  • Attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the box thinking – Constantly pushing new ideas and programs to solve sales and market challenges.
  • Strategically and operationally strong – Ability to synthesize complex information into a simple strategy and then execute against this strategy.
  • Business acumen – Solid business, analytical and financial background.
  • Experience as a business user with using SAP, PIM, DAM, DemandWare/Salesforce Commerce platforms a plus.
  • Solid planning and organization skills – Ability to manage multiple, simultaneous complex projects and schedules.
  • Good collaboration skills – Ability to effectively collaborate with people and teams from all functions within Harman across all of our global regions.
  • Communication Skills - Exceptional written, verbal and presentation abilities.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time
  • Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA
