Ecommerce Fraud and Analytics Lead

Position Summary:

The Ecommerce Fraud & Analytics Lead – Americas is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies, analysis and tools used by the fraud prevention team and combat financial losses, fraudulent activity, and profit improvement.

This position will also manage the reporting of all KPIs for eCom and drive insights that will influence strategies and business priorities for the US region.  You will be responsible for analyzing our eCom business and working with key stakeholders to execute & measure these opportunities, such as shipping methodology, merchandising and promotional effectiveness, customer engagement and satisfaction measurement.  In addition, this position will be responsible for keeping a vigilant & proactive eye on our trends and identifying opportunities to increase topline revenue, profitability and consumer satisfaction. To execute these goals, you will oversee the eCom data pipeline and develop key practices to ensure we gather and leverage qualitative data from various relevant sources to make the most effective digital decisions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position will have no supervisory responsibility.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a best in class fraud prevention function.
  • Own and be the resident expert in fraud and manual review processes.
  • Maintain high levels of data integrity with fast-growing, high volumes of orders including identifying unique orders and fraud patterns in near real time.
  • Develop reports to help operators stay nimble and make strategy recommendations to inform major fraud prevention and marketing allocation decisions.
  • Work with ecommerce leads and cross-functional teams to champion data-driven marketing optimizations including those that might contract the HiPPO.
  • Create output that tells the story behind the data to non-technical team members so they can execute more effectively.
  • Help in creating a data informed organization and collecting user research data to improve customer engagement and business decisions.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly/annual deep dive analyses of the e-commerce business. Provides a holistic summary of performance and takeaways that take into consideration all device types, marketing programs, merchandising strategies, and national promotions, A/B tests, customer service, supply chain operations, inventory, fraud analysis and more.
  • Drive inventory forecasting with Ecom team.
  • Collaborate with members of the e-commerce team as well as online merchandising, online marketing, social and regional marketing teams to provide analytical support to measure performance of site content, feature/functionality efforts and in-store merchandising ROI, etc. Guide business users in identifying key performance indicators for their areas and then build appropriate reporting that provides insight into the performance of initiatives and approach, using all available data sources (web analytics, customer database, third party tools, industry data).
  • Maintain daily and weekly dashboards for e-commerce KPIs. Participate in weekly business reviews meetings. Identify traffic trends, abandonment issues, and opportunities for improving site conversion rates.
  • Provide further insights on A/B tests and various business efforts.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics or other quantitative discipline.
  • At least 5 years payment/fraud related experience, with an emphasis on reducing fraud.
  • Ability to write complex SQL queries and expert in Excel.
  • Working knowledge of statistics.
  • Experience with data modeling and predictive analytics.
  • Ability to communicate complex, data-informed, insights to non-technical audiences.
  • At least 5 years of data analysis experience with an emphasis on web analytics, preferably at an e-commerce brand with high volume of complex data.
  • Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics experience.
  • Experience with cohort analysis.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of the online marketing and merchandising environment.
  • Strong analytical and data visualization skills with ability to deliver insights to key stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of key performance metrics, current knowledge of behavioral and demographic targeting research and ROI-driven optimization techniques.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strategic thinking, disciplined creative passion, and a willingness to be hands-on.
  • High energy, positive can do attitude, and self-motivated.
  • High degree of organization, accuracy, flexibility and detail oriented.
  • Team player and collaborative.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Economics or other quantitative discipline.
  • Experience with marketing attribution modeling
  • Adobe Analytics & Tableau experience
  • Experience with cohort analysis

  • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA.
