Corporate Travel Systems Support Specialist

Position Summary:

The T&E Support Systems Analyst is responsible for the technical support and maintenance of the Harman’s T&E expense reporting software and TMC travel data systems; assistance with the testing and implementation of new functionality and software upgrades, and working closely with key stakeholders on training, deployment, and post-implementation support, customization, and enhancement of business systems.

This individual will work closely with the Global T&E Administrator and the Senior Director of Global Corporate Travel along with the Harman travel team and 3rd party suppliers to satisfy data analysis, internal reporting requests from internal Harman departments e.g., Finance, Management, etc.         

 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Supporting and maintaining the core T&E management systems of Harman globally, such as Chrome River, AMEX Premier and AMEX Premier Insights
  • Providing phone, e-mail, and deskside technical support and training for T&E software end users of Harman International Industries, Inc. 
  • Tracking of technical support tickets and escalation as necessary
  • Timely completion of travel systems daily, weekly, and other scheduled tasks to ensure optimal performance of the Harman’s T&E management systems
  • Working closely with third-party vendors to assist in the tracking, diagnosis, and resolution of technical issues
  • Working closely with Harman’s Corp Travel team to assist with testing, training, and deployment of new software systems and customizations/upgrades of existing systems
  • Documenting common user questions, issues, and feedback to provide continual process improvement
  • Supporting critical T&E and workflow processes
  • Ad-hoc reporting from the Harman T&E management systems
  • Collaborating with the internal Harman administration teams such as Human Resources, IT, Finance, etc. to safisfy system changes and requirements for the Harman global travel program

Basic Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent experience
  • At least 6 months of experience in an equivalent role
  • Experience with T&E software applications e.g., GDS (Sabre, Amadeus, etc.) Online Booking (KDS, Cytric and GetThere) a plus 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel is a must) and text editor software (PS Pad)
  • Experience with web based reporting software systems e.g., standard, adhoc and scheduling
  • Must have strong speaking, writing skills and feel comfortable communicating with all levels of management

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; must be able to work in a fast-paced and complex environment and work with confidential issues in a professional manner

  • Strong logical / analytical thinking
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to work in the Northridge, CA office.
  • Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

Other:

  • Some GDS Experience a plus (e.g. Sabre)
  • Knowledge of corporate travel reporting systems e.g., TMC (Travel Management Company); Duty of Care; T&E (Chrome River, Concur)
