Position Summary:

Our global financial planning and analysis team provides a critically important function within our division and we are looking for a strong finance talent willing to learn and grow within the finance and controlling environment.  This individual will partner with our global teams as well as help bring further excellence to this function overall.  
The Associate Financial Analyst’s primary responsibilities include supporting all financial planning, reporting, and analysis tasks (budgets, forecasts, internal management reporting, external financial reporting, variance analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action proposals) and financial global process improvement.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position has no supervisory responsibility.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Creation of BPC (reporting/consolidating system) reports as required by management (ad hoc analysis and standard support) and variance analysis
  • Follow up with the 11+ Regional Colleagues to  maintain a tight monthly financial close process and reporting process to follow Corporate calendar
  • Support global cost controlling activities and forecasting for all global support functions required to support the consumer business
  • Works as a team member  to support  the preparation of the annual financial budget, monthly forecasting, and month-end corporate reporting using SAP/BPC
  • Liaise closely with cross-functional teams including IT, internal audit, supply chain, procurement, and shared services
  • CAPEX and OPEX analysis
  • Monthly Management Report global consolidation
  • Product P&L project analysis and support
  • Building and maintaining new variance analysis reports
  • Prepares monthly variance analysis reports and monthly management reports, per Samsung detailed analysis and reporting schedules
  • Maintaining documentation and following up with stakeholders to ensure that all control & compliance procedures are completed and in alignment with new IFRS accounting changes

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or finance
  • 0-2 years of experience.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Previous entry-level work experience strongly preferred
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple, complex tasks and conflicting priorities
  • Good time management skill to meet the tight schedule and deadline
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 0-10% of the time.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Northridge, CA.
