Huemen Design:

HARMAN has always placed great value on the design and execution of its products and services. In 2018, the three internal design groups across the 4 divisions were reorganized into a single agency-model design organization. This design organization is named “Huemen”. Huemen will continue to deliver and lead the world-class design across all of HARMAN in the disciplines of Industrial Design (ID), User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX), as well Marketing Services and Future Experiences in Auto and Home.

 

Position Summary:

Huemen is looking for a Graphic Designer - Presentations to join a new team focused on all creative efforts for the Harman portfolio of global audio brands including JBL, Harman/Kardon, and AKG. The Graphic Designer - Presentations will work with the Art Director and Team Lead to develop compelling and story rich internal and external presentations. He / She will also collaborate with the Design team to develop and create compelling and culturally relevant graphics for multiple cross platform campaigns across several brand categories: Print, web, mobile, social, retail, events, etc. The Graphic Designer- presentation designer will be a key proponent in the evolution of the Huemen agency, and the elevation of our clients marketing efforts.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This role will have no direct or indirect reports
  • This role will be part of a 5 person creative team focused on servicing Harman marketing efforts and elevating the marketing services offering within Huemen

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop presentation guidelines and templates in multiple formats (PowerPoint, keynote, word, InDesign) to be used by the Huemen agency for all deliverables
  • Thread stories and visuals into external (client) and internal presentations that compel and engage
  • Supporting the internal needs of all Huemen divisions (Lifestyle, Professional Solutions, Connected Car, Connected Services) and all Global Marketing teams (Brand Development, Consumer Insights, Ecommerce) with regards to presentation guidelines and templates
  • Develop breakthrough, culturally relevant visuals for creative campaigns and for general branding in print, web, mobile, social, retail, events etc.
  • Collaborate with the Art Director and other graphic designers to create the visual expression for brand campaigns and other creative initiatives
  • Develop and maintain visual tone, consistency, and quality across all internal and consumer facing communications.
  • Successfully translate concepts and ideas into visuals for print, retail, social, video, web, and promotions; Have the ability to demonstrate effective work in multiple formats
  • Work with other designers, user experience architects, and Marketers to achieve the vision (a

  • Self-motivated, well organized, and up to challenges of ever-changing timelines, requests, and deliverables.
  • A flexible attitude to collaboration is essential

Position Requirements:

  • 4+ years design experience with a top-notch visual aesthetic
  • Multi-platform experience
  • Mastery of PowerPoint, Keynote, InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator
  • Demonstrate ability to thread a visual story together from multiple inputs
  • Large brand experience in CPG category preferred 
  • Awareness of the mobile landscape and stay current on the rapid changes in social media and communications technology 
  • Demonstrate a fresh and culturally relevant perspective on design & innovation, and the ability to understand and translate the latest pop culture, fashion, graphic, and design trends into creative marketing outputs
  • Mastery of typography, layout and general design principles
  • Industry awareness: current events, trends, and general advertising culture 
  • Fluent verbal and written English essential; other languages desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Design

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience from a client service organization
  • Consumer electronics industry experience
  • A design focused degree is a plus
