Position Summary:

HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offer interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. As a member of our team, your primary roles will be to assisting senior engineers to develop, simulate, test and port End to End algorithm solutions including front-end processing and back-end neural networks for fast prototype build of next-generation consumer audio products.


Job Responsibilities:

  1. Experiences in tuning CNN and GAN, specifically in image segmentation and super-resolution, and in network dueling for new application development and simulation.
  2. Experiences in pruning networks to fit on Embedded SoC such as ARM Cortex series or Nvidia Mobile GPUs.
  1. Facilitate and develop code for existing algorithms in common machine learning platforms such as Tensorflow and Caffe/Caffe2 with basic knowledge in C/C++
  1. Prepare documentation to summarize design and status of prototypes and products


Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate/Ph.D. program at an accredited institution taking at least one class in the semester prior to the internship program and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program
  • Degree must be in a related area of work with courses in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science.
  • Academic publication in ML field is a strong plus (e.g. ICML, CVPR, ICLR)
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact and present information to senior leaders
  • Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
