Position Summary:

This senior level individual will be the evangelist responsible for managing an independate rep sales team, and selling HARMAN product solutions to Harman dealers and integrators in the assigned region. The primary mission is to drive demand for the HARMAN solution set that ultimately achieves the attainment of revenue growth and profitability objectives. This position involves establishing, building and maintaining relationships with established HARMAN dealers to ensure that projects using Audio/Visual/Lighting systems are designed with HARMAN technology.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:  There are no direct reports to this position, but there are indirect reporting relationships through Harman’s independent sales representative organization.
 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly, quarterly and yearly sales plan. 
  • Responsible for driving revenue and building relationships with new & existing customers across all vertical markets.
  • Work with local independant sales representatives to call on prospective customers to promote business via networking and relationship building skills
  • Must work well within a team/matrix environment. 
  • Visit potential customers, present opportunties and identify key decisions makers
  • Establish, maintain, and fulfill strategic business plans to achieve revenue and profitability objectives
  • Effectively sell to all levels of management from “C” level through VP and mid-level management

 

Basic Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Master’s Degree (MBA) a plus
  • 6+ years of experience in a senior level sales position with demonstrable results.
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals/objectives
  • Broad overall knowledge of AVL technology is required
  • Audio, video and/or lighting sales experience required.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and effectively present/articulate advanced HARMAN solutions and benefits
  • Solid foundation of sales skills training
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly ramp up to speed and learn appropriate technologies as well as business acumen associated to segment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.  Must be comfortable with public speaking and presentations.
  • Must embrace a team environment, funtioning side-by-side in with peers in similar capacities.
  • Must be capable of learning and utilizing company tools.  SAP/BI, Soundtrax expense reporting.
  • Must be capable/proficient in Excel, Word and Powerpoint.  

 

 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to be home based in California, Oregon or Washington State. 
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
