System Architect System Design (m/f)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Designing the System Architecture for Infotainment Systems, Telematics Units, displays and Driver Assistance Systems of the next generation.
  • Presentation of the system-, hardware-, und software concepts during the RFI- and RFQ-phase internally and towards the customer.
  • Lead technical presentations / workshops internally and externally
  • Analysis and evaluation of functional requirements as well as requirements concerning the system architecture, especially analysis of influence towards the available system resources.
  • Development of high-level- and detailed concepts with related specifications.
  • Define and own Software- and Hardware-Design- and Interface-definitions.
  • Development of functional safety architectures and concepts.
  • Close communication with the responsible software and hardware project leaders.
  • Guide and support the software and hardware developers to realize the architectural requirements, including verification of work results.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Information Technology) or appropriate graduation
  • 5+ years of professional experience architecting or developing systems for Infotainment, Instrument Cluster and/ or ADAS
  • Strong background in SoCs, IOC, networks, hardware and software architecture
  • In-depth knowledge of system architecture styles and design principles, Doors, Enterprise Architect
  • Knowledge/Experience in ISO26262


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional experience architecting or developing algorithms (mainly involving Computer Vision applications and AI)
  • Strong background in HW design and/or SW architecture
  • Experience with operating systems QNX, Linux, Android
  • Knowledge of the requirements inside the automotive area. Understand the dynamics of the automotive Tier-1 market and have a vision for market and customer trends
  • Experience in robotics, embedded engine control & management systems

  • Willingness to travel



  • Excellent communication and coordination skills with global engineering teams, including preparation of technical presentations/workshops internally and externally up to management level
  • Structured and goal- and result-orientated working style
  • Good self-motivated team player
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English. German language skills would be beneficial.
