Sensor Fusion Algorithm Expert / Highly Automated Driving (m/f)

Responsibilities:

 

  • Algorithm expert (conventional, AI based) for Sensor Fusion applications, primarily focused or experienced in computer vision
  • Has been recently involved with one or more of the following: Perception, Localization, Environment modelling, Path planning
  • Deep understanding of advanced sensors: Camera, Lidar, Radar, Ultrasonics, V2X
  • Experienced in AI projects (Neural networks, reinforcement learning, etc)
  • Awareness of architecture considerations with regard to porting high level Software designs towards multi-SoC embedded Systems (partitioning, target IPs, Architecture).
  • Keep up with the latest in the industry regarding AI and algorithms (i.e participate in dedicated Conferences, Academic, etc.)
  • Familiar with automotive Software processes and methods highly beneficial (SPICE, ISO26262, Modelling and Validation)
  • Support requirements analysis during RFI, RFQ and internal Projects phases
  • Performing SW design reviews and provide inputs for the Test and Validation team during the different project phases
  • Benchmarking and steering of 3rd party Software suppliers or partners. Support Sensor benchmarking and selection.
  • Able to steer and interact with different parts of the organization globally and in various fields including highly complex Infotainment, Telematics and Cockpit systems.
  • Capable of reusing concepts for other domains and projects, i.e Cockpit, driver monitoring, ADAS
  • Execution of special projects on behalf of the disciplinary superior

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, Information Technology) or appropriate graduation
  • 3-5 years of professional experience architecting and developing Algorithms (mainly involving Computer Vision applications and AI)
  • Experience in at least two of the following: Caffe, TensorFlow, OpenCL, OpenVX, Matlab
  • Excellent technical understanding of Highly Automated Driving and/or ADAS applications in Features, Requirements, Technology and Architecture
  • Desired Knowledge or Experience in Functional Safety (not mandatory)
  • Knowledge of the requirements inside the automotive area. Understand the dynamics of the Automotive Tier-1 market and have a vision for market and customer trends
  • Excellent Communication and coordination Skills with Global engineering teams, including preparation of Technical Presentations/Workshops internally and externally up to management level
  • Structured and result-orientated working style
  • Good self-motivated team player
  • Excellent presentation and written communication skills in English. German language skills would be beneficial.
