Hardware Engineer Analysis (m/f)

Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Cross customer projects root cause analysis of field failures with emphasis on lower application stack e.g. operating system, driver etc. for our Infotainment system and Amplifier
  • Failure localization from customer view down to technical / component view
  • Analysis of analog and digital functional blocks (e.g. power supplies, Audio blocks, MCU / SoC units, etc.) within complex hardware architectures
  • Responsibility for analysis tasks and coordination within HW and SW Engineering departments as required (e.g. NTF-Process )
  • Reporting of failure description, root cause and remedial actions


Required Skills:

  • Bachelor or Master in Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences or a related technical discipline
  • 3-5 years of experience in Infotainment analysis
  • Knowledge in HW and SW architecture of Infotainment systems as well as high speed bus systems (PCIe) and in automotive networking (MOST, CAN, etc.), automotive diagnosis, BIOS control & flash tools
  • Experience in working with IOC (V850), processors (SH4, Intel, etc.), networking (TCP/IP, Telnet) database (SOL etc.) and in DC / DC converters and digital circuits as well as EMC-compliant circuit design
  • Hands-on experience with scripting languages, tools and operating systems (e.g. POSSIX conform operating systems) and problem solving tools & techniques like 5-Why, Y-Effect, Fishbone diagram, 8D or similar will be preferred
  • Excellent knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP), preferably in the area of audio signal processing
  • Good communication, coordination and teamwork skills and business fluent in German and English
  • Willingness to travel 15% - 20%
