Senior Principal Engineer System Design & Architect (m/f)

Responsibilities:

 

  • Create System Design and Architecture of mid to high complex Platform Systems, function blocks and modules for Car Audio and Consumer Systems from basic idea up to readiness for final product integration.
  • Covered product lines are located in automotive area (Audio Amplifier & Booster, ECUs for Sound Synthesis and Sound Cancellation, wireless networks) and in consumer area (Headphones, portable Loudspeakers, Microphone arrays, Loudspeaker arrays, Home entertainment Systems, wireless networks)
  • Perform requirements analysis
  • Define interfaces and requirements for HW, SW, Acoustics according the system need.
  • Collecting the data for System need description out of the functional domains (SW, Audio)
  • Generating detailed System block diagram under consideration of Harman guidelines, best bom cost, low power consumption, thermal design constraints and environmental conditions
  • Develop verification plan & content for the designed Systems to secure the fulfillment of the key requirements
  • Performing design reviews for each development stage about compliance of developed parts to system design requirement to secure maturity
  • Documentation of above named systems, verification results and generation of integration guidelines to enable and secure take over in final customer products by product development organization
  • Perform Hand over and training activities to Product Development team
  • Global cooperation with all other LSA CoC departments, Product Development division as Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing during the development process
  • Realization and / or Assisting in the realization of white papers for new technologies
  • Part time support or perform system and component scouting for defined key technology.Focus next generation
  • Align, negotiate and control work packages / delivery of external partners
  • Perform System Design customer interface in RFC phase / product definition phase
  • Join on site bring up workshops on several sites
  • Development method according and within an agile process environment

 

Skills & Requirements:

 

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering, SW Engineering, Telecommunications or appropriate graduation), PhD in the field of Engineering is advantageous
  • Minimum of 8- 10 years of experience in the System Design of mid to complex systems in automotive or similar complex area
  • ·Experience working in the technology industry or automotive industry
  • Proven technical leadership
  • High knowledge about analog and digital circuits
  • Experience in SW design for embedded Systems ( OS based and non OS based )
  • Experience in SW coding, scripting
  • Good knowledge about SW stacks for BT and WIFI designs
  • Good knowledge about SW architectures and DSP capabilities in Audio processing and routing
  • High knowledge of the requirements inside the automotive area
  • High knowledge about the requirements in the consumer market
  • Structured and goal- and result-orientated working style
  • Ability of team work
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in German and English
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Willingness to travel
