Acoustic Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Tasks / Responsibilities:

  • Design and tune Audio Systems
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for requirements
  • Support departmental initiatives and activities as directed by the department supervisor
  • Provide technical support and guidance for the resolution of various customers and interdepartmental issues as required
  • Travel as required to customers and other Harman sites within Europe (approx. 50% of the time) 


Required Skills:

  • Degree in Acoustic or Electrical Engineering or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of acoustics and practices gained from both a good academic foundation and via practical application and experience
  • Minimum 3 years design experience of audio systems and components within the Automotive Industry
  • Proficient in digital signal processing, circuit diagrams and physical /psychoacoustics
  • Understanding of World Class best practice in product design and development
  • Experience using and understanding audio tools
  • Basic knowledge about loudspeaker design
  • Excellent hearing capability
  • Basic knowledge of Matlab and programming
  • Full clean Drivers License
