Position Summary:

Oversee drivers and maintenance to ensure timely transportation and delivery. Investigate and resolve problems with shipments, discipline, or maintenance.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for supervising traffic in Harman inbound outbound.
  • Ensure the drivers have the proper instructions to perform their duties safely.
  • Drivers ability to perform his duties effectively
  • Opportunities that would increase efficiency for both the Company and the customer
  • Dispatch drivers using a fair and consistent approach
  • Coordinate the daily assignment of company and contracted resources to maximize equipment utility
  • Coordinate the servicing and inspection of branch equipment daily with the shop personnel.
  • Ensure trailer interior washes are completed where required.
  • Problem crisis resolution and the efficient utilization of available tools.
  • Ensures traffic deadlines are met.
  • Understand our Operating Principles, make them the guidelines for how you do your job-
  • Own the customer experience-think and act in ways that put our customers first.
  • Making call backs and helping us elevate opportunities to do better.
  • Develops and assigns projects to staff to improve the traffics and logistic of trucks.
  • Assists direct reports in there solution of complex or exception issues.
  • Collaborates with Traffic Coordinator to implement and identify improvements and maintain 5s in the Harman parking
  • Processes and distributes daily verification reports.
  • Ensures procedures and policies are maintained, completes all performance management responsibilities
  • Reviews and revises procedures as needed to improve overall operation
  • Communicates regularly and effectively with other departments within the company to ensure business is maximized and issues are resolve defectively

 

 

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in a transportation-related role
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Traffic Diploma would be an asset
  • Strong working knowledge of the MS Office
  • Experience working with dispatch
  • C-PAT knowledge
  • Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary
  • Problem solver
