Test Technician, AME Transducers

Position Summary: Responsible for any transducer test related AME equipment projects for implementation in Pilot Juarez. Create and update the EoL test sequences, design the part specific test tools as a part of AME hand over package for production. This role will also be responsible for Sound Check readiness in Pilot, for troubleshooting technical problems on the pilot test equipment. Responsible for root cause analysis on acoustic failures in ED, DV, PV phase and in case of need support production test engineering at the root cause analysis on failures after start of mass-production too.

 

 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position does not have any direct or indirect reports.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Researches and compiles information necessary for project completion, including both safety standards and part assemblying.
  • Designs and/or modifies test tools, components required for production equipment.
  • Create an initial test sequences and update them during the DV/PV builds based on the part specification and the anechoic chamber measurement of reference batches.
  • Collect all the test related information and review it with the AME team and hand over the complex package to the production test engineering.
  • Troubleshoots and/or repairs equipment.
  • Troubleshoot test failures and working with Product Development team to root cause and correct.
  • Installation of test equipment and assist in installation and updates of PLCs.
  • Installs and updates programmable controls and computer terminal wiring.
  • Performs preventive maintenance on test equipment and test tools & jigs in Pilot.
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles test related machine tools in Pilot, according to layout plans, blueprints, and operating or repair manuals.
  • Works with other engineering disciplines and manufacturing to identify cost reduction opportunities.
  • Globally supports new equipment installation and standardisations.
  • Update and support Machine Standards.
  • Support cost savings initiatives, warranty issues, and other product related concerns in order to maintain quality and profitablitiy.
  • Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline
  • 3+ years related experience in the field of loudspeakers and acoustics
  • Knowledge of transducer manufacturing
  • Knowledge of PLC and PC machine control
  • Knowledge of robototics

  • Willingness to travel 10% of time.
  • Willingness to work in an office in Juarez, Mexico.
