Position Summary:

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading 3rd shift production in a Pilot Factory that produces prototype speakers, amplifiers and radios for the automotive industry, and will lead his/her team to meet delivery dates to support the Product Development process, and will be responsible for Quality Inspection of all finished goods before shipment. 

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position will supervise the Transducer Production technicians totaling 5 people.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the Pilot Factory technicians and execute the production plan to meet delivery and quality objectives: 
  • Particpate in employee hire, promote or dismiss decisions
  • Manage personnel issues such as time card and vacation approvals, setting targets and performance reviews 
  • Ensure employees are appropriately trained to Harman procedures, and IPC 610 standards.
  • Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
  • Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
  • Oversee and coach employees
  • Ensure the safe use of equipment and schedule regular maintenance
  • Inspect production output according to customer drawing specifications
  • Submit reports on performance and progress
  • Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
  • Enforce safety guidelines and company standards


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years work experience in a manufacturing environment
  • 2+ years work experience in an ISO or TS certified environment
  • Proven experience as Production Supervisor or similar role
  • Experience in using various types of manufacturing machinery and tools
  • Advanced skills in MS Office
  • Organizational and leadership abilities
  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated with a results-driven approach
  • Problem-solving skills
  • High School Diploma or GED
