Position Summary:

The Quality Manager is responsible for leadership of the Quality site operations, as requirement and applicable customer requirements. Develop, implement, and maintain all quality systems for the assigned manufacturing site. Implemented lessons learned and develop a good practice with other facilities Harman.

 

The position reports to the Sr. Director Quality of North America

Job Responsibilities:

  • Formulates and manages the department’s budget, as well as the Quality staff.
  • Establishes and maintains a Quality System always in search of continuous improvement.
  • Maintains communication with all the areas with the purpose to keep everyone focus on the same objectives.
  • Ensure compliance to all applicable quality Customer-specific systems and requirements.
  • Ensure compliance of all quality controlled documentation, document change activities and record retention requirements.
  • Report out all required daily, weekly and monthly quality metrics
  • Support Continuous Improvement initiatives of the facility
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships resulting in excellent customer satisfaction
  • Demonstrate Acceptable" behaviors per the Harman Juarez Leadership Expectations Model in the area of Leading Self (demonstrates integrity, shows respect for others, communicates and influences, focuses on the customer, drives for results, thinks analytically, demonstrates professional expertise).
  • Interact with production for the log of production goals
  • Participate actively in the process of planning new product quality.
  • Comply with the company's safety and environmental policies.
  • Participates and provides support related with quality systems management, objectives, targets and programs.

 

                                                                           

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree (electrical, mechatronics, mechanical or Industrial)
  • Advanced English
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in quality as direct responsible for customer accounts, Quality Supplier Manager   AUTOMOTIVE
  • Management of Quality Tools
  • Management of automotive problem solving tools (8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa analysis).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistical tools including: regression analysis, ANOVA, DOE and frequency distribution analysis.
  • Computer skills including Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Experience in quality management systems

Authority:

·Has the authority to stop a process or activity, or give coaching if it detects unsafe or acts conditions, that could put at risk the integrity and health of a worker and environment.
