Position Summary: Briefly describe the primary purpose and function of this position.

Sales & General Management:

The Head of Marketing will be responsible for Implementing the overall Strategic marketing planning for all the LS India portfolio and also the brands like JBL/HK/Infinity across LS Division. He/she shall be responsible for the marketing plan, implementation and tracking of all marketing related spend and activities across LS India and across divisions. The person would be also be responsible for the following activities: 

  • Brand Strategy across LS for Harman India reporting in India LS GM.
  • Strategic planning for marketing across the LS vertical in India 
  • Responsible for the implementation of marketing channels across print, digital and multimedia.
  • Establish vendors and partners for the marketing strategy in India.
  • work with global marketing teams to implement and source ideas that can be leveraged in India
  • establish customer partnerships through channels that help drive sales.
  • work closely with HMM, CA and online managers for LS in India to drive business
  • Maintains an awareness of industry trends, directions and their relevance to Customers within each given market.
  • Assesses the accuracy of Car Aftermarket merchandise distribution and marketing across the region.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Business Competence – should be from a major consumer brand in India preferably from Electronics side
  • Consumer electronics experience – Experience working with major consumer electronics or products in the retail channel.
  • BS Degree/MBA Degree or equivalent experience is required

  • Strong consumer products orientation – Keen understanding of consumer wants and needs that can be effectively applied to creating market-winning retail sales strategies.
  • Solid planning and organization skills – Ability to manage complex projects and schedules necessary with this global retail operations role.
  • Good collaboration skills – Ability to effectively collaborate with people and teams from all functions within Harman plus full range of industry consumer customers.
  • Demonstrated creativity and out-of-the box thinking – Constantly pushing new ideas and programs to solve sales and market challenges.


Other Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 30% of the time.
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
