Senior Test Engineer (m/f) Autonomous Driving

Our team works on introducing new products and technologies to drive the success of the overall organization towards the autonomous driving market.

You would work within Harman’s ADAS team, specializing in the area of Camera vision technologies, specifically - but not limited to - Vehicle surround view systems.


Your Responsiblities:


  • Prepare test strategy for bench-testing and vehicle-level testing of surround view systems based on broad knowledge of the design and operation of surround view systems
  • Plan testing of surround view systems including which equipment is needed
  • Prepare test cases for bench testing and vehicle-level testing
  • Execute test cases and document test results; enter defects and follow-up with hardware/software developers to quickly root-cause observed defects
  • Plan regression testing and full testing based on risk assessments
  • Prepare, configure and maintain test vehicle(s)
  • Work with internal and external suppliers to integrate surround view systems into vehicles; plan installation, program gateways, troubleshoot failures


Your Required Skills:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Field (e.g. electrical engineering, Informatics or equivalent)
  • More than 5 years’ experience in hands-on testing in Automotive Electronics
  • More than 2 years’ experience incar testing
  • Experience with testing of Automotive camera and surround view systems would be an advantage
  • Proven knowledge of vehicle communication systems (CAN, MOST, FlexRay, etc) and vehicle configuration, flashing and troubleshooting
  • Experience with test automation, simulation, logging and reply tools as well as test automation development experience (CAPL, ADTF or similar)
  • Good understanding of Linux OS
  • Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment
  • ISTQB foundation or advanced certification is a plus
  • Self motivated team player with good communication skills
  • Disciplined and focused to get results and set up priorities and able to multitask
  • Willingness to travel (10-20%)
  • Fluent in English
