Our team works on introducing new products and technologies to drive the success of the overall organization towards the autonomous driving market. You would work within Harman’s ADAS team, specializing in the area of Camera vision technologies, specifically - but not limited to - Vehicle surround view systems.The purpose of this position is to support the development of ADAS products by specifying and developing requirements for the surround view product.  These features will support NCAP 2020 guidelines as well as support autonomous driving levels in conjunction with other vehicle sensors and systems.

 

 

Your Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Technical responsibility for a software system architecture or SW subsystem architecture within the Surround View product
  • Design and develop suitable SW architecture models for Surround View based on different Hardware platforms and operating systems taking into account safety requirements
  • Work with software engineers and support them to implement the SW architecture
  • Technical analysis and assessment of project requirements
  • Development of requirement specifications for SW components for internal and external developers
  • Definition of non-functional requirements, e.g. SW metrics, performance KPI, stability criteria and memory budgets
  • Technical coordination with architects and engineers during the whole development lifecycle
  • Monitoring of development status and software quality and with means of design and code reviews
  • Consideration of Harman processes, Automotive SPICE and functional safety requirements

 

Our Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development and design (in C/C++ and UML / Enterprise Architect)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the area of automotive engineering
  • Excellent knowledge of software architecture principals and design tools (UML / EA)
  • Professional skills in C/C++ and object oriented (OO) software engineering
  • Deep knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS), Linux and Android (is a plus)
  • Good Knowledge of OpenGL and GPUs, camera systems is a highly appreciated
  • Basic knowledge of Functional safety (ISO26262) and knowledge of image processing is a plus
  • Engaged team player willing to work in a multi-national team
  • Technical leadership experience is a plus
  • Fluent communication in English (spoken and written)
