You will work within Harman’s Autonomous Driving team, and will boost the research, creation and evaluation of systems in one or more of the following ADAS divisions: Surround view, front facing cameras, augmented reality and safety platform.


Tasks / Responsibilities:


  • Architecting, training and analyzing AI networks to extract rich semantic information from multiple car sensor modalities such as camera, radar and lidar
  • Designing and developing state-of-the-art RADAR signal processing and algorithms for mapping, localization, scene analysis, object detection and classification, object tracking, and activity recognition
  • Developing robust and real-time AI perception solution integrating multiple Radar / Camera sensors
  • Implement state-of-the-art detectors and tracking for vision using AI
  • Architect an ‘active learning’ feedback loop for Vision / Radar DL / ML systems
  • Define KPIs for AI networks developed for Radar / Camera perception
  • Develop novel machine learning / AI models to enhance precision and recall rates
  • Bring AI based radar / camera perception SW to production quality for use in ADAS/AD features; need to be able to work iteratively with large amounts of data
  • Introduce data-driven-testing methodologies to evaluate the performance of multi-modal perception algorithms


Required Skills:


  • PhD in electrical/computer engineering, computer science, applied statistics or equivalent
  • More than 5 years professional experience with vehicle systems and ADAS/Active Safety development
  • Expertise in computer vision processing / radar digital signal processing (DSP) is a must – this position requires deep FFT background; sensor fusion experience is a big plus
  • Deep understanding of common ML and DL latest algorithms; publications at CVPR, NIPS are a big plus
  • Proficiency in Python (numpy, keras, pycharm) is a must; C/C++ knowledge is a big plus
