Manager Functional Safety (m/f/d)

Tasks / Responsibilities:


  • Build up and establish a global responsibility and team for Functional Safety Managers 
  • Planning and post processing of all activities of ISO 26262 Safety-Lifecycle
  • Responsibility of end to end functional and technical safety within project
  • Support and execution of Safety Analysis (Hazard Risk Analysis, FMEA,  Failure Modes, Effects and Diagnostics Coverage Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis)
  • Moderation and participation of technical inspections
  • Creation, monitoring and controlling of safety plan and evidences
  • Driving initiatives in close cooperation with customer
  • Drive execution, evaluation of Functional Safety requirements
  • Coordination, monitoring, improvement of Quality methods in the project
  • Ensure process compliancy within the development project
  • Ensure project compliance with ISO26262, demonstration of risks along product development / product life cycle
  • Member of Project Core Teams


Required Skills:


  • University degree in the Engineering field and certified Functional Safety Manager
  • Extensive experience in Automotive Engineering and Development as well as experience in Functional Safety implementation 
  • Extensive knowledge on System, Hardware and Software
  • Experience in creation of safety concepts and analysis (FMEA, FTA, FMEDA, HARA)
  • Knowledge about product development / lifecycle process
  • Experience in project and quality management
  • Profound knowledge in ISO 26262 and IEC 61508, including legal aspects
  • Experience in creation of project safety plan
  • Strong skills in communication, presentation and problem solving (customer and internal)
  • English business fluent 
  • Willingness to travel
