Responsibilities

  • Manage EU HALOsonic engineering team responsible for demonstration vehicle builds and series production tuning.
  • Forecasting of resource requirements (e.g. personnel, equipment, track time)
  • Program responsibility for realization of internal and external strategic projects like System Concept Development and Concept Cars for Harman Sound Management programs
  • Planning, controlling esp. cost/budget controlling of customer specific demonstrations.
  • Active customer alignment with respect to schedules, deliveries and technical contents
  • Participation and support during budget planning of programs and compilation of development requests
  • Follow corporate product development (or applications) process.  Ensure the compliance of team members.
  • Technical steering for selected functional areas.
  • Regular meetings with OEM-customer and internal stakeholders for all aspects of technical status, program progress and product alignment of audio systems
  • Presentations and information reports and analysis to internal and external customers
  • Identify program issues as early as possible and drive resolution at the team level.  If resolutions requires management intervention, escalate to appropriate management personnel with proposed alternatives.
  • Audit task completion.  Report major deviations from plan to appropriate management.
  • Provide monthly reports in requested format.
  • Recommend continuous improvements development process.  Complete other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.

 

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in project management 
  • Experience managing small engineering teams
  • University degree in engineering (Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering or appropriate graduation)
  • Profound knowledge of acoustic systems and NVH
  • Beneficial: knowledge in Active Noise Cancellation
  • Good presenting and reporting skills
  • Fundamental knowledge in terms of methodologies in project management especially w/r to planning and controlling
  • Technical and commercial English fluently
  • Ability to analyze, to communicate and to present
  • Willingness to travel (15%)
