SW Architect -DSP/ Algorithm (m/f)

  • Modelling of Digital Signal Processing (DSP) algorithms and architecture
  • Creation of software requirements based upon the software architecture
  • Modelling of DSP signal processing algorithms with Matlab / Simulink
  • Porting and optimization of DSP algorithms to embedded hardware
  • Maintenance of existing DSP source code libraries
  • Perform design and code reviews
  • Design and execute module (unit) tests
  • Remove defects found and hand over tested DSP software modules for integration testing
  • Adhere to the standard software development process (ASPICE compliant) and MISRA coding standards
  • Enhance existing software modules based on newly allocated requirements, change requests and problem reports
  • Perform tranings and secure know-how transfer onto other DSP Engineers


Required Skills:


  • Master or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Excellent knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP), preferably in the area of audio signal processing, including DSP programming (ADI, TI DSP)
  • Excellent knowledge of object-oriented software languages (C/ C++), Matlab/Simulink and ideally UML
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in embedded real-time software development
  • Long-term experience with modern software development tools like JIRA, Perforce, SVN, DOORS
  • Broad experience with communication protocols (e.g., MOST, AVB or others) needed
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Very flexible in terms of tasks and responsibility
  • A strong ability to build relations and work independently
  • Self-motivated, passionate about audio and high sense of responsibility
