HARMAN is changing mobility since decades. In the Strategic Business Unit Autonomous Driving our HARMAN/Samsung team is working on the front facing camera system, called DRVLINE platform. With features like lane sensing, emergency braking systems, speed assistance based on traffic sign recognition and advanced artificial intelligence for freespace mapping, we are forming the technology of the future.

You will work within Harman’s Autonomous Driving team, and will boost the research, creation and evaluation of systems in one or more of the following ADAS divisions: Surround view, front facing cameras, augmented reality and safety platform.


Your Responsibilities:

  • Be an active individual contributor for front facing camera product and implement perception algorithms based on CV, Machine Learning and Deep Learning etc.
  • Define software requirements / structure for front camera platform development

  • Work closely with the Computer Vision Software Architect defining software requirements and software structure to support Harman`s front camera products

  • Be the interface for computer vision in HARMAN departments and the OEM customers

  • Be hands-on towards development and productization efforts for computer vision algorithms including the relationship with potential third party vendors

  • Support in definition of the Harman software environment for Camera Products

  • Drive and take an active role in development of OpenCL and OpenVX based CV algorithms 


Your Profile:

  • Master´s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering Field or Mathematics or similar, Ph.D. Degree would be an advantage
  • Highly experienced with vast knowledge in software structures, Design requirements and software architectures, using UML and EA 
  • Deep understanding and experience in software development processes and methodologies
  • Hands-on experience in development of prove of concept projects for front camera, radar or lidar sensors
  • Experience as a software engineer, focusing on C/C++ as well as Linux and/or RTOS
  • Experience with project quality techniques including planning, risk management and decision making
  • Basic Functional Safety (ISO26262) knowledge
