Job Responsiblities:

  • Lead other department EMC Intern and Technicians.
  • Developing and rewriting test plans and reports looking for continuous improvement.
  • Meeting with the customer for the overall EMC test plan and design approval process.
  • Assisting in troubleshooting at vehicle level with customer as needed.
  • Preparing presentations and summaries as needed.
  • Stay informed of all new customer specifications make recommendations of new equipment requirements.
  • Assist with ISO17025 as available and needed.
  • May act as technical lead in EMC lab.
  • Design, develop, implement and verify new EMC test methods.
  • Specify test equipment for current and new EMC test methods.
  • Design and build test support equipment for EMC testing.
  • Build automation for test methods where practical and technically sound.
  • Completes other related duties as assigned by the manager.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

May require supervision of EMC Technicians and/or EMC Interns.        

 

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

 

  • BSEE, BSEET, BSCS, BS Physics or equivalent minimum requirement.
  • 5+ years EMC qualification or related experience, automotive industry background highly desirable.
  • Advanced EMC and test solutions knowledge for automotive industries.

 

Physical Demands:

Manual Dexterity

  • Limited manual dexterity required.

 

Physical Effort

  • Work requires handling lightweight materials or equipment with no special speed or exertion.

 

Working Conditions

 

  • Ordinary office, shop, field, or warehouse working conditions with some slightly disagreeable features.  Must be able to travel to Harman and customer sites as needed.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 20%
  • Willingness to work in an office (Novi, MI).
