Hardware Engineer - Layouter / Car Audio Team

Responsibilities:

 

  • Make PCB layouts for automotive audio amplifiers according to specifications from HW developers
  • Create pre-placement studies during RFIs/RFQs
  • Create layouts with respect to good EMC and thermal properties
  • Offer guidance to HW developers with respect to best practices for layouts
  • Collaborate in the definition of the interfaces of several PCBs in a complex HW system
  • Contribute to define a suitable PCB stack-up
  • Assure adherence to company design rules
  • Perform layout reviews
  • Attend to schematic reviews
  • Generate documentation for PCB production

 

Qualification:

  • Master or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Communications Engineering or a related technical discipline
  • Deep knowledge in and experience with Mentor Expedition PCB SW + Constraint Editor
  • Fundamental understanding of HW circuits and the properties relevant for PCB layouts

 

Experience:

  • Minimum of 6 years experience in embedded real-time hardware development
  • Experience with layout designs for high speed busses (impedance control)
  • Experience in automotive industry is an advantage

     

Skills:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Flexible in terms of tasks and responsibility
  • Ability to build relations and work independently
  • Self-motivated, passionate about audio and high sense of responsibility
