Job Description


Position Summary:

This “Program Manager, Toyota” will have global responsibility to drive product execution of all Toyota projects; supported through frequent interactions with regional and remote engineering resources. A manager in this position focuses the time assigning and coordinating tasks between global development teams & drive the Toyota Programs according to the established processes in our BMS.


Supervisory Responsibilities: 

This position has no direct reports


Job Responsibilities:

  • Overall program responsibility for the realization of complex Infotainment Programs
  • Steering of international and cross functional project teams
  • Responsibility to deliver the product according to agreed targets (schedule, budget, quality)
  • Control and optimize project costs (e.g. BOM, BOL, development, qualification, production preparation)
  • Top level planning and controlling
  • Align technical and commercial program targets with functional departments Responsible for change management processes (incl. internal/external Change Control Boards)
  • Technical interface towards OEM-customer for all aspects of technical status, program progress and product alignment
  • Responsible for the transition from prototyping to production incl. ramp-up
  • Active steering during RFI/RFQ-phase to compile feasibility studies and to complete product performance specification
  • Reporting towards customer and internally incl. management board
  • Program execution according to HARMAN Project Life Cycle Management Processes (PLM / PMI/PM Book)


Basic Qualifications:

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent discipline
  • At least 5+ years of experience in Program Management, Program Execution & Engineering
  • Proven project management experience
  • Ability to manage multifunctional teams in worldwide locations
  • Strong customer focus required
  • Working knowledge of program Management development tools (Doors, MS-Project, own HAR, Tools like ProPer, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of QNX, Embedded Linux, and/or Android
  • Good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Fundamental knowledge in terms of methodologies in project management
  • Ability to mediate between conflict parties
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to work in an office in Brussels
