Position Summary:

 

This person is responsible for developing and supporting the operations of the SAP PI/PO  Modules.  This person will also act as a subject matter expert on projects that require changes or enhancements related to SAP PI/PO. Besides projects, the Senior Systems Analyst – Middleware - SAP PI/PO will also perform 2nd level support for all our business units in the PI/PO area. This person will use best practices and experience to improve our PI/PO landscape and processes.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Analysis, design and transfer of business requirements in SAP PI/PO

•    Significant contribution in architecting solutions, working independently, as part of an internal team, or working with third-party consultants and customers.

•    Development of integration objects at all levels on SAP PI/PO  including new objects and enhancements

•    Development of training material, configuration and process documentation and organization of training courses

•    Preparing system documentation for existing and new interfaces.

•    Proactively monitor the PI/PO production systems ensuring availability of interfaces and supporting data

•    Supporting global interfaces for multiple business areas including finance, HR, sales, supply chain, and manufacturing.

•    Improvement and maintenance of system landscape to include rollout and upgrades

•    Reviewing project requests describing user needs for estimating time and cost required to implement/accomplish project requirements

•    Maintenance, testing and deployment of integration/interface objects.

•    Working as part of a project team to coordinate development and determine project scope and limitations

•    Identifying and evaluating industry trends to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management

•    Conducting detailed analysis sessions with end users and business SMEs

•    Supporting/developing functional and technical specification according to business requirements and DigITal / IT strategy

•    Suggesting options and recommending solutions to critical business users

•    Troubleshooting and debugging functional issues and developing/supporting issue resolutions

•    Revision of company definition of data as defined in the data dictionary

•    Collaboration with global centers of excellence for the respective technology tower

•    Working with vendor project teams on implementation projects

•    Guiding external consultants for implementing SAP PI integrations

•    Provide Level 2 & Level 3 end-to-end support for PI/PO interfaces

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, information technology, or related field from an accredited institution of higher learning
  • 6+ Years of overall experience with SAP interfaces
  • Strong knowledge of SAP PI/PO  architecture frameworks, concepts, and best practice design principles as well as SAP structures, object dependencies, and tables
  • Experience building interface solutions using SAP PI, SAP PI/PO,
  • Experience with SAP interface technologies ALE, RFC, and Proxy
  • Experience in Java coding, XSLT and Message Mapping
  • Experience with common protocols HTTP, FTP, SFTP, JDBC
  • Experience with SAP PI  Objects and Configuration
  • Experience with SAP PI, SAP PI/PO,  application administration
  • Experience with Windows Server, Unix, and Linux operating systems
  • Experience with two or more of the following: MS SQL Server, Oracle, HANA, MySQL including interacting with databases either directly or via JDBC
  • Experience developing web services using SOAP, REST, ABAP Proxies, and related technologies
  • Experience developing in both Java and ABAP/4 as required for middleware development
  • Experience and demonstrated expertise leading customer-facing, strategic projects as well as application development projects
  • Experience and demonstrated expertise with ITIL including change management, incident management, problem management and service management
  • Demonstrated willingness and ability to learn new technologies, programming languages, and techniques
  • Hands-on experience on large and complex implementations
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills, including the proven ability to adapt to a dynamic project environment and execute multiple projects concurrently
  • A global perspective with the ability to understand and work effectively in a culturally diverse organization
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholder interests, simultaneously managing conflicting priorities and business interests

Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Linux/Unix OS experience and knowledge
  • Experience with PI 7.3 or higher versions (Preferbly JAVA only)
  • Experience with PI dual-stack to PI JAVA single-stack migration
  • Experience with SAP Cloud Platform Integration Services (CPI) Objects, Configuration, and Administration

Eligibility Requirements:

•    Must live and work in (Bangalore/Pune) India area

•    Willingness to travel approximately 15% of the time.

•    Willingness to work in an office in Bangalore or Pune.

•    Any offer of employment is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen.

 

Other:

•    Masters degree is a plus.

•    Ability to influence and drive change.

•    Experience with virtualization, high availability, and archiving solutions related to SAP.

•    Experience in building the processes, metrics, controls, governance, and organization necessary to deliver mission-critical projects.

•    Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
