Essential Responsibilities:

  • Linux Software Integration with focus on Config Management, Build Management, Release Management
  • Integrate kernel, drivers, application software for an embedded Linux target
  • Continuous integration / continuous deployment CI/CD tools
  • Writing wrappers around SCM tools & other proprietary tools to create the ease of such tools by developer community.
  • Build, release and maintain SDK linux platform distributions for internal & external customers.
  • Keep updating the new techniques & ideas to stay cuurent with technology by defining & implementing Linux integration and release strategy


Desired Characteristics:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Linux/Ubuntu/Fedora software integration.
  • Hands-on familiarity with any of these software frameworks used for creating Linux distributions aimed for, but not restricted to, embedded devices
    • OpenEmbedded-Core Project (OE-Core)  or OE-dev
    • Yocto Project
  • In-depth understanding of Linux-based systems and an enthusiasm for OpenSource and the Automotive industry (ideally GenIVI)
  • Worked in platform or multi-project environment.
  • Good fundamentals of Configuration Management.
  • Experience in SCM tools like git, Perforce etc
  • Experience in Atlassian tools Jira, Confluence
  • Experience in Continuous Integration & deployment
  • Experience in build automation using any of the scripting languages like shell, python, perl
  • Practical experience with GNU/ Linux Development Tools eg: make, cmake, gcc, expert knowhow: git, Bitbake, Yocto, Jenkins, CruiseControl, Bamboo, Jira, Lint
  • Beneficial: basic Automotive SPICE knowledge
  • Beneficial: background in automated testing
  • Willingness to travel when business need arises
  • Willingness to work in an office in Bangalore, India
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
