Position Summary:.


This position is within HARMAN’s Corporate Division, headquartered in Stamford, CT with approximately 17,000 employees around the world. The HR Talent Management team is looking for the ultimate team player to support Corporate, the Regions and Divisions globally in Talent Management systems.  The Successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of success with hands on execution in developing and implementing policies, procedures and processes to meet our business needs globally.

Job Responsibilities:

This role will have global responsibility to help drive business alignment of HR Talent Management processes; supported through frequent regional and divisional interaction with HR colleagues to deliver on Talent Management initiatives. Additionally, this role will have significant focus and impact on HR Talent Management project initiatives for the global business.

 The primary responsibility of the position will be Talent Management system support and maintenance, report design, creation and generation in support of the HARMAN internal Human Resources reporting needs. In addition, the position is responsible for the quality control of all reports.

This role is a key position to the Global Talent Management Team.  The Candidate must lead by example with a ‘get it done attitude’ setting.  Moreover as part of this nimble team, it is expected as opportunities arise to support our colleagues in areas such as Learning and Development.

  • Act as main support for the online Talent Management System for 11000+ salaried employees globally (Administration, Routine Management, Launching of forms, Role Based Permissions, Reporting)
  • Assist with Global Talent Management projects as needed
  • Support HR portal maintenance in HARMAN intranet
  • Meet with People Continuity process owners (Target Setting, Succession, Learning & Development, Talent Manager, HRIS), systems owners, and end users to define reporting requirements and goals and enhancements to existing reports, presentations, and processes
  • Interpret needs and design/enhance reports to meet end user expectations
  • Create prototype reporting models through data analytics, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers
  • Standardize report formats for each client niche and automate where possible
  • Update and publish reports as needed – daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, etc. Ensure that reports are accurate and run in a timely manner

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of hands on experience in Successfactors as an administrator
  • 2 + years of professional experience in reporting, data analysis, and data manipulation in Human Resources, Finance, or Information Technology
  • Functional knowledge of HR is a plus
  • Must possess the strong ability to utilize mainstream software programs such as Microsoft Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Access
  • In addition to chart and graph creating, must demonstrate the ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts, such as percentage
  • Requires initiative, flexibility and professional skills in dealing with management staff
  • Other Business Intelligence and/ or industry experience is a strong plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Basic is a plus

  • Strong process management skills and problem solving skills
  • Strong data presentation skills (report design, charts, graphs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications. Experience in report writing is a must;
  • Should be assertive and pro-active in approach
  • Demonstrated organizational skills and the ability to prioritize workload and maintain schedules and deadlines
  • Worked remotely with global teams
  • Individual must possess good technical skills and aptitude to operate and manage Microsoft Office, ERP systems HR
