Essential Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving Sales Target/Plan for the assigned region in India.  Works with RSM/NSM to provide support to Harman Pro’s authorized dealers & their network to generally achieve financial targets for the Channel & retail Sales of Audio-Video-Lighting Systems business in India.
  • Proactively follow and close all leads in the respective region
  • Report back bi-weekly the forecast and sales projections for the month to the RSM
  • Work with all departments in India to ensure any orders issues or availability problems are resolved
  • Responsible for setting targets for every dealer, sub dealers, re sellers & small partners and ensures reports are compiled and sent to the RSM each month to track progress against plan.
  • Responsible for formulating strategies to bring a low performing dealer/partner back up to plan. Constantly evaluate dealer network’s strengths and weaknesses and formulate appropriate action plans.
  • Conduct regular trainings & roadshows in the assigned territory to ensure Harman Pro is maximizing all effort and is constantly refining the customer network.
  • Constantly assess each brand’s position in India and report back to each brand on any major changes in competitive brand activities
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts, in addition to contractors and consultants
  • Works with the Application support team to ensure timely BOQ support requirements for the customers are met and delivered
  • Attends trade shows in India and meets and discusses projections and future requirements with customers
  • Maintaining a list of both current and future key prospects.  Regular use of CRM is required.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly activity reports to the RSM, to include: Results of Sales performance in the respective territory; updates on travel and meetings with key accounts; updates on the status of key requirements; and information and analysis concerning significant competitive activity in India in each market
  • Produce trip reports after every business trip made to include summaries of meetings held with customers along with action items to follow up on.
  • Traveling atleast two weeks a month throughout specified region to visit with key accounts with the aim of developing new sales
  • Coordinates all deliveries and special needs by the clients to fulfill their needs. 
  • From time to time this position will be expected to carry out other activities for which he/she is competent to do in order to assist in the efficient operation of the Company.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Graduate, preferable with a business related degree. 
  • Minimum of 6 years sales-related experience in the Professional Audio-Video industry in India.
  • Record of accomplishment achieving sales revenue targets.
  • Strong relationship and knowledge of the major contractors in the respective region
  • Must be an individual driven by sales targets and works to hit both monthly and quarterly targets.


Desired Characteristics

  • Strong knowledge of the Pro Audio market in India with key contacts/relationships/influences
  • Possesses excellent literacy, communication, and sales skills at all levels
  • Ability to interact effectively and comfortably with executive management and senior figures either in dealers, customers or end-users throughout the region.
  • Presentation skills are essential.  Must perform presentations to small and large groups of customers.
  • Has the ability to be flexible and adaptable while working in a pressurized environment, maintaining good customer relations at all times
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, policies and procedures. 
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from executives, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Proven track record of accomplishment in ability to demonstrate effective teamwork.
  • Track record of personal and professional integrity and ethical behavior.


Eligibility Requirements:


  • Willingness to travel over 50% of the time, sometimes at short notice.
  • Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
  • Willingness to work in a Harman office closest to the respective region.
  • Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test, if required.
