Principal Engineer, SW - ADAS Algorithm

Position Summary:

This position is within Harman Connected Car Division, located in Bangalore, India. In this position you will be part of a integrated global team, you will design and develop computer vision algorithms for front camera features. These features will support NCAP 2020 guidelines as well as support autonomous driving levels in conjunction with other vehicle sensors and systems.   The ideal candidate will have good analytical skills, knowledge of engineering discipline, and experience in vision related ADAS functions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Be a key driver and develop next-generation versions of core perception modules, improving accuracy, run-time performance, and breadth of features.
  • Application of latest deep learning research in real world products.
  • Build tools and systems to automate the training and analysis of deep learning models.
  • Collaborate with other teams working on research, infrastructure, safety analysis, and in-car deployment.
  • Create and document the software architecture
  • Perform code reviews and other activities to ensure high-quality results
  • Drive innovation

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science or similar education. You should have 6+ years of meaningful / relevant industry or research experience.
  • Experience in automotive software technology for ADAS or AD.
  • Hands on experience in computer vision and/or Radar, Lidar.
  • Experience in Deep learning is ideal.
  • Strong programming and software engineering skills, ideally with C/C++ and/or Python.
  • Familiar with Agile development methodologies and test driven development
  • Self motivated, result driven individual, must be passionate about the work
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 20%
