Position Summary: The Telematics Solution position will report into the HARMAN Engineering organization and will be responsible for leading the development of devices, which are both consumer grade and automotive grade products. This position will be involved in design collaboration in development of current and next generation solutions, including ones based on 4G and 5G. The incumbent will institutionalize a Design-to-Cost with the expected outcome is decreased cost with increased innovation, accelerated design cycle-times of development.

Telematics is the key foundational technology for the connected car and autonomous driving.  It includes technology like LTE modems and network access devices (NADs) as well as wireless standards e.g. BT/WiFi, GNSS, NFC etc. are one of the fastest growing areas. HARMAN works with leading suppliers to design telematics solutions to ensure every in-car experience is entertaining, productive, safe, and secure.




Job Responsibilities:

  • We are looking for an individual with around 7-8 years of industry experience in Micro controller Firmware development. Below are the areas of expertise we are looking for.


  • Individual should be expert in firmware development in C and/or ARM Assembly.
  • He/She should have very good understanding of I2C, UART, Timers, DMA, Interrupts, ADC, GPIOs, Battery monitoring etc
  • He/She should have prior working experience in Linux kernel and device drivers.
  • Individual should be good at debugging in low level firmware using multimeters, oscilloscopes etc.
  • He/She should be able to understand and read the schematics for the board design.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Experience with Linux operating systems for development and deployment.
  • Experience with web and application servers, including, but not limited to Apache and Tomcat
  • Hands on Experience with Git, Jenkins or team city for version control and continuous Integration.
  • Familiarity with in-memory caching like memcached or redis or elastic cache.
  • Understanding of modern software development tools and management.
