Position Summary:


The Director Network & Unified Communications proactively leads, maintains and implements the growth of a comprehensive modern software defined network and Unified Communications strategy, operations & execution. The Director Unified Communications leads a team of 50 individuals both employees and contractors, including responsibility over Local Area Network, Wide Area Network, Wireless Network, VoIP and Contact Center.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Extensive knowledge of specific technologies including but not limited to: Cisco infrastructure including both voice and data technologies, VoIP/SIP telecom, F5, and multi-carrier WANs.
  • Strong leadership and management abilities. Ability to lead cross-functional project teams in implementing projects of a complex nature and experience leading technical teams comprised of architects, engineers and operations.LAN and WAN, including the network switches, routers and firewalls.
  • Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCNA, CCDA, CCIE, ITIL Foundations or equivalent data
  • Telecom network operational experience required
  • A deep understanding of the interdependent relationship between network and voice infrastructure, information security and the applications/services they enable as well as the criticality of maintaining strong connections between the respective teams within DIGITAL
  • Responsible for supplier relationship and management including hardware and service provider evaluations, contacts, deliverables and service levels.
  • Experienced in Solution Architecture, program management, engineering, vendor management, project management and network support
  • Participates in defining and implementing network policies, procedures, and best practices by integrating with security, operations, cloud, SAP and other application teams.
  • Strong financial management skills in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ensure comprehensive disaster recovery architecture is maintained and operations are in place.
  • Participate in IT strategic planning, project planning and budget planning efforts.
  • Analyze technology trends and develop infrastructure strategy, architecture, and delivery processes designed for agility and cost effectiveness. Move the enterprise into an edge based software defined enterprise.
  • Have detailed knowledge about how to architect and build the next gen networks for the Cloud, AI and 5G.
  • Drive Tech Debt and Obsolecnese out with a focus on continuous improvement .
  • Focus on human centric approach towards unified communication & collaboration with a sense of urgency.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s (undergraduate) degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent is required
  • 10+ Years of comprehensive and deep experience in IT Networking, Unified communication (Cisco or Microsoft) & Telecom managing large, complex enterprise environments
  • 5+ years in supervisory or management capacity
  • Extensive knowledge of data center operations, telecommunications, network engineering, data center applications, client/server computing, and production operations support, best practices, and technologies
  • 8+ years of IT and business/industry work experience.
  • Experience in working with high level executives across company
  • A combination of personality traits—collaboration, honesty, integrity, intensity, passion and a low ego.
  • Leadership ability that attracts talent and creates loyalty, trust and following. One who can energize people and teams, and make cross-functional and cross-business cooperation happen. This individual must be highly respected by subordinates, peers, and superiors.
