Position Summary
The Senior Internal Sales Specialist, MEA is an Apsley based sales role that maintains and develops relationships with external business partners throughout the south region. As a key member of the regional sales team, you are expected to generate sales whilst maintaining profitability, and to actively assist in the delivery of business objectives through strong relationship management, leadership and negotiating skills.

Key Objectives

  • Reporting direct to Regional Director, set and implement a sales strategy to achieve the business plan, corporate goals and gross margin expectations
  • SIP Plan based on South Region Director Plan as per standard SIP T&C’s
  • To deliver information and engage with external business partners which will tactically drive this sales and service strategy.
  • Form productive, professional relationships with key personnel integral to the delivery of sales operations – both internal to Harman and with external business partners
  • Deliver effective, accurate and sustainable information to business partners in coordination with internal customer sales resources – including price lists, promotions etc.
  • Support the delivery of data, which ensures that business partners are fully aware of the product range and their applications
  • Measure partners performance against their plan/year on year and present progress to line manager
  • Identify sales opportunities using partner sales out and stocking reports
  • Project manage the on-boarding process of new distributors within region
  • Proactively assess, clarify, and validate partner needs on an ongoing basis
  • Work with the bid desk to translate customer requests, solve problems and collect information to improve win probability and Harman profit margins whilst maintaining high levels of customer service
  • Negotiate and sell-in discounts agreed by the bid desk – communicating quotes and bid confirmations thereafter
  • Lead and educate others to support the Company’s reputation as the market leader
  • Assist partners in getting technical, customs or legal documentation by passing them on to the appropriate contacts within the business
  • Submit weekly activity reports


Basic Qualifications:

  • Degree in a relevant commercial subject
  • Has a strong understanding of the industry
  • Has a thorough understanding and some sales experience in the industry
  • Has proven administrative and commercial understanding of the industry


Preferred Qualifications & Desired Competencies:

  • Additional languages relevant to the Middle East and Africa region would be desirable
