Position Summary:

This position is within HARMAN’s Professional Solutions Division.  This senior level individual will be the evangelist responsible for selling HARMAN product solutions to targeted customers. The primary mission is to drive demand for the HARMAN solution set by establishing, building and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in this market to meet/exceed revenue targets. The position will work within a matrix organization, and will have to work collaboratively within the Harman Professional Solutions Division

 

Job Responsibilities:

The position will have a number of responsibilities and authority for making decisions as described below;

  • Responsible for overall business development across EMEA for HARMAN’s Cinema vertical market
  • Define Cinema strategy across the EMEA region
  • Manage the execution of defined strategy for the Cinema vertical market across the EMEA region
  • Become the trusted face of Cinema within Harman across the EMEA region
  • Own relationships with key end users in conjunction with relevant distributors and associated integration partners
  • Ensure that the channel is fully aware of the product range and its applications and are technically trained on the product
  • Maintain the company’s CRM database to accurately reflect the ongoing sales and pipeline position
  • Represent the company at trade shows
  • Identity and assist with the on-boarding of new strategic partners and end users. Develop and manage the business development relationships with these new partners
  • Work closely with extended team to deliver accomplish vertical market growth. For example, application engineering team, regional sales leads)
  • Develop partner business plans in conjunction with relevant regional sales leads
  • Support the channel managers in selling products and full solutions for targeted Cinema customers both through product expertise and in-person customer support
  • Motivate and enable the channel to increase sales of the product range through utilising appropriate marketing techniques
  • Assist in the generation of positive PR to support the company’s reputation as a market leader, either directly, or in co-operation with the relevant partners and customers
  • Work closely with regional marketing teams to drive activities and marketing plans across the region
  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting relevant competitive activity in the marketplace
  • To be responsible for monitoring the performance of the existing product range, identifying market trends and opportunities for new product development
  • To assist in the specification of new product by providing the company with an effective market research/market feedback function

 

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree;  Master’s Degree a plus
  • 6+ years experience in a senior level sales position targeting audio and visual accounts
  • Proven track record of exceeding goals/objectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Superior follow-up skills

  • Strong solutions sales representative that understands customers’ needs and is effective at selling solutions that will best meet their needs
  • Strong technical focus that can support channel management and business development teams
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully prospect, present to clients, and consistently close large deals
  • Ability to understand business requirements and effectively present/articulate advanced audio, video, lighting and control solutions and HARMAN technology

  • Proven team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who can effectively work with all levels of a global matrixed organization

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel 60%+ of the time
  • Willingness to work in an office in Europe
